Directing the Director

No one said group work would be easy. Actors can be stubborn, directors can be stubborn. Everyone on set can be stubborn. The group got to play around with a state of the art camera. Similar to the mystery guest short films, we had to create new short films, using the 4K camera. We had to work on our individual shot lists and then shoot our short films. we got to shoot mine today. I had already envisioned my short film and it was up to me to get it done like how I imagined it. I trusted Abi with the cinematography of the short film and with the technical aspect. The other group members helped to bring the whole thing to life, using my shot lists. I had to cut some shots out due to the impracticability of the shots. They were not necessary to the aesthetic of the film and I found it easier to extend the shots that already existed and to shape the narrative around those.
